Corporate Paint & Sip at Sofitel Broadbeach

Corporate events don't always need to be formal or structured. Sometimes, the best team experiences are the ones where everyone can slow down, enjoy a drink, have a laugh, and try something creative together.

Recently, we had the pleasure of hosting a corporate paint and sip in the boardroom at Sofitel Broadbeach for a lovely group of guests.

It was one of those wonderfully relaxed sessions where everyone gradually arrived, settled in, and eased into the afternoon at their own pace.

A Very Relaxed Start

This class had a particularly relaxed beginning, with one guest arriving right on time and being ready to get started.

We began teaching him the painting while the rest of the group slowly made their way in.

As each person arrived, they joined in and picked up the painting from where we were up to, creating a really easygoing atmosphere from the very beginning.

It was a great reminder that corporate paint and sip events can be flexible and relaxed while still giving everyone the opportunity to get involved.

The Painting Choice: Starry Sail

For this event, the group chose our Starry Sail painting, inspired by Vincent van Gogh's famous Starry Night.

Starry Sail has quickly become one of our most popular paintings for corporate events, sitting alongside our Santorini Sea as a favourite choice for both male and female corporate groups.

It's also one of our more free-flowing paintings, where the more detail, texture, movement, and colour you add, the better the finished result becomes.

This gives everyone plenty of freedom to make the artwork their own while still following our guided instructions.

Painting, Drinks and Celebrity Heads

The relaxed atmosphere continued throughout the session, with guests enjoying a few drinks while working on their paintings.

We also added one of our favourite games, Celebrity Heads, between painting steps.

It was a great way to break up the painting and gave everyone a chance to have a laugh and interact with each other outside of the creative side of the experience.

The combination of painting, drinks, and games created an easygoing afternoon that didn't feel overly structured or formal.

Everyone Created Their Own Starry Sail

Although the group followed the same guided painting steps, everyone's artwork began to develop its own personality.

Some guests added more movement and detail to their skies, while others experimented with different colours and brushwork.

That's one of the things we love about teaching Starry Sail there really isn't a wrong way to approach it.

By the end of the class, everyone had created their own interpretation of the artwork.

A Great Way to Spend the Afternoon

The group were so lovely throughout the session, and it was fantastic hearing that everyone had genuinely enjoyed themselves.

For corporate groups, it's always rewarding to hear that guests had fun because the goal isn't necessarily to create a room full of professional artists it's about giving everyone an opportunity to switch off, enjoy themselves, and spend time together in a different environment.

Straight to the Airport!

There was one small downside to the day a few guests unfortunately couldn't take their finished paintings home with them.

They were heading straight to the airport after the event, which made carrying a wet canvas around a little tricky!

Luckily, they still had plenty of photos of their finished artwork to remember the experience by.

Sometimes the paintings don't make it home, but the photos, memories, and stories from the day certainly do.

A Lovely Corporate Afternoon at Sofitel

This Sofitel Broadbeach corporate paint and sip was such a relaxed and enjoyable event.

From starting the class with one guest and gradually welcoming the rest of the group, to painting Starry Sail, enjoying a few drinks, playing Celebrity Heads, and seeing everyone's finished artwork, it was a lovely way to spend an afternoon together.

Thank you to this wonderful group for choosing Painted Social for your corporate event. It was such a pleasure spending the afternoon with you all, and we're so glad to hear you enjoyed the experience.
