EVENT BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS

Painted Social

These Event Booking Terms & Conditions apply to all private events and services provided by Painted Social.

By paying a deposit or confirming a booking, you agree to the following terms.

1. Booking & Deposit

A booking is secured once a $300 deposit has been received.

Event dates are not guaranteed until the deposit is paid.

The deposit:

  • Is applied toward the total event cost; and
  • Confirms acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

2. Pricing & Guest Numbers

Event pricing is based on confirmed guest numbers and the selected package.

  • Standard pricing applies to the minimum booking package.
  • Additional guests are charged at the agreed per-person rate.
  • Final guest numbers must be confirmed at least 7 days prior to the event.

The final invoice will be adjusted based on confirmed numbers.

Once guest numbers are confirmed, reductions will not reduce the final payment amount.

3. Final Payment

The remaining balance is due 7 days prior to the event date.

Failure to complete payment by the due date may result in cancellation of the booking, and the deposit will be forfeited.

4. Cancellation & Rescheduling

4.1 Cancellations

Deposits are strictly non-refundable.

4.2 Rescheduling by Client

If you need to reschedule:

  • More than 7 days’ notice: your deposit may be transferred to a new date (subject to availability).
  • Less than 7 days’ notice: the deposit may be forfeited.

Rescheduled dates must occur within a reasonable timeframe agreed upon by both parties.

4.3 Rescheduling by Painted Social

Painted Social reserves the right to reschedule due to illness, emergency, severe weather, or unforeseen circumstances.

In such cases, an alternative date will be arranged. If a mutually suitable date cannot be agreed upon, a refund of payments made (excluding completed services) may be provided.

5. Venue Requirements

The client is responsible for providing:

  • Adequate tables and seating for all guests
  • A safe, clean and suitable workspace
  • Access to running water
  • Access to the venue at least 30 minutes prior to the event start time (unless otherwise agreed)

Painted Social supplies:

  • Canvases
  • Paints
  • Easels
  • Aprons
  • Protective table coverings

6. Setup & Timing

Painted Social will arrive prior to the event to prepare materials and complete setup.

If access is delayed or the venue is not ready at the agreed time, the session may be shortened without refund.

7. Safety & Responsibility

Clients are responsible for:

  • Guest behaviour
  • Ensuring the venue is safe and suitable
  • Supervising minors (if applicable)

Guests participate at their own discretion.

To the extent permitted by law, Painted Social is not liable for:

  • Injury caused by unsafe venue conditions
  • Damage resulting from misuse of materials
  • Alcohol-related incidents
  • Guest misconduct

Nothing in this clause excludes rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

8. Damage, Spills & Clean-Up

Protective materials are provided; however, painting involves water and paint, which may accidentally spill or transfer.

Clients accept responsibility for any paint or water spills affecting:

  • Furniture
  • Flooring
  • Clothing
  • Décor
  • Personal belongings

Painted Social is not liable for accidental paint or water damage.

Reasonable care is taken to minimise mess and protect surfaces.

9. Materials & Take-Home Items

All painting equipment, easels, aprons, and setup materials remain the property of Painted Social.

Each guest may keep:

  • The canvas they personally paint during the session.

If a personalised apron has been purchased as an add-on, that apron may also be kept.

All other materials are collected at the end of the event.

10. Photography & Promotion

Painted Social may photograph or record parts of events for marketing and promotional purposes.

If you do not wish to be photographed, you must notify us in writing prior to the event.

11. Force Majeure

Painted Social is not liable for cancellation or delay due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Severe weather
  • Government restrictions
  • Venue closure
  • Illness
  • Emergencies

12. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights guaranteed under the Australian Consumer Law.

Services will be provided with due care and skill.

13. Agreement

Payment of a deposit confirms acceptance of these Event Booking Terms & Conditions.
